Welcome to the Intergenerational Model UN site!
Developed between 2015-18 through a collaboration between the Yarmouth Council on Aging and the United Nations Association of Greater Boston, this site is designed to support communities that wish to plan their own intergenerational other Model UN simulations. This site has two sections that can work as a starting place for your work. The HOW TO section has a planning guide, parliamentary procedure recommendations. The RESEARCH section provides resources for delegates as they prepare for a simulation. We hope these are useful to you. Best wishes with your Model UN simulation!

This section of the website will explain a step-by-step approach to running a Model UN conference.

Meaningful relationships relationships based on mutual understanding between intergenerational family members are indispensable for social integration and cohesion. Thus, an intergenerational policy approach should gain more ground to create a society for all ages, ensuring that both young and old are involved in policy-making.

Why intergenerational Model UN?
Global issues are complex. Solutions will require the human community to work across every border that exists, including borders documented on maps those which are invisible but just as real. One of the invisible borders that can exist in our communities is age.
|
Intergenerational Model actively and purposefully encourage participants to problem solves across countries and generations. As a result, it will serve as a catalyst for a globally-minded and age-friendly community.
